Hello everyone, I hope all is good with you. I’m having the time of my life at the moment! If I thought my wanderings at Glastonbury Festival were a highlight of my summer\/life, then think again. Along comes my amazing Thailand ‘Open to the New Shades’ blog winners trip.<\/p>\n

I am now in my third continent in as many weeks. Coming to you now from Australia and just about to go outback, off the grid for the weekend. Before I do I wanted to give you a glimpse into this past weekend.<\/p>\n

OPEN TO THE NEW SHADES<\/strong><\/h6>\n

This tour was all about promoting off the beaten track Thailand<\/p>\n

So grab yourself a cuppa, take a pew and enjoy some of the photos from my recent trip to Nakhon Nayok<\/a>, Prachin Buri<\/a> and Khao Yai<\/a> provinces. These provinces are all within two to three hours of Bangkok and make a wonderful weekend away.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

It’s going to be a BIG weekend, so how about we stop for a cuppa on the way at the Coffee and Tree Cafe, Klong 15, Nakhon Nayok?\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

We are going to have endless amazing meals. Do you have a favourite Thai dish? I just love all the fresh farm to table dishes we ate over this weekend.<\/p>\n

We went quad biking on these ATV vehicles, so much fun. And no, I’m not the one in the ditch!<\/p>\n

We saw temples like at the Ganesha Park<\/a>, where we found the largest Ganesha in Thailand: Nakhon Nayok, Mueang Nakhon Nayok District, Nakhon Nayok 26000, Thailand<\/p>\n

We loved the beautiful scenery and waterfalls in Khao Yai National Park<\/a> including the famous Haew Suwat Waterfall\u00a0<\/a>filmed in The Beach with Leonardo Di Caprio…<\/p>\n

We saw nature at her stormy, rainy, lush green best…<\/p>\n

PRACHIN BURI <\/span><\/h6><\/p><\/div>\n

We saw the picturesque scenery and learned about King Rama 9’s vision at Khun Dan Prakarn Chon Dam.<\/a><\/p>\n

We had my best Thai massage ever at Chao Praya Aphaiphubet Hospital..<\/a>.<\/p>\n

and enjoyed learning more about Thai traditional medicine.<\/a>..<\/p>\n

We went wandering and found some incredible butterflies…<\/p>\n

Forest wanders at Kaeng Hin Phoeng<\/a><\/p><\/div>\n

All in all, it was a stunning weekend. I was not surprised by the beauty of the area, nor the incredible foods on offer but I was surprised at the variety of activities packed into one small area of Thailand…<\/p>\n
