We wake this morning to the beep, beep, beeping <\/span><\/span><\/div>\n
of the security alarm and a burning smell. <\/span><\/span><\/div>\n
My bedside light won’t turn on. <\/span><\/span><\/div>\n
The electrics are out.<\/span><\/span><\/div>\n

<\/span><\/span><\/div>\n
Have you got time for a cuppa?<\/span><\/span><\/div>\n
Let’s make it a big one.<\/span><\/span><\/div>\n
This could take a while…<\/span><\/span><\/div>\n

<\/span><\/span><\/div>\n\n\n\n\n
<\/a><\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
It’s a big cuppa sort of a day!<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n
It’s the 5th day of winter <\/span><\/span><\/div>\n
and the heating has broken. <\/span><\/span>Why? <\/span><\/div>\n
Why, when it had all of last summer, <\/span><\/span><\/div>\n
or even all of the last few autumn months,<\/span><\/span><\/div>\n
why does it have to break now?<\/span><\/span><\/div>\n

<\/span><\/span><\/div>\n
‘It’s shagged’<\/strike> says the tradie*<\/span><\/span><\/div>\n
“Shagged?<\/strike>‘ I repeat thinking I can’t put that on my blog<\/span><\/span><\/div>\n
‘Yeah it’s F*****’ says his young assistant helpfully,<\/span><\/span><\/div>\n
Hmmm, ‘Please not the F word, that’s worse…!’<\/span><\/span><\/div>\n
What is wrong with the youth of today?!<\/span><\/span><\/div>\n
‘Caput**, Cactus***’ he mumbles,<\/span><\/span><\/div>\n
knowing he’s overstepped the mark <\/span><\/span><\/div>\n
‘Thank you, that’s better I say, <\/span><\/span><\/div>\n
the C word is perfect’<\/span><\/span><\/div>\n
‘Wot???’ he says…<\/span><\/span><\/div>\n

<\/span><\/span><\/div>\n
It’s pouring with rain<\/span><\/span><\/div>\n
I take this photo staying dry through my bathroom window<\/span><\/span><\/div>\n
hence the criss cross patterns through the flywire!<\/span><\/span><\/div>\n

<\/a><\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
My Tradie hides his face!<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n
So we are without heat<\/span><\/span><\/div>\n
They can’t do a quote until Tuesday<\/span><\/span><\/div>\n
because they’re really, really busy and <\/span><\/span><\/div>\n
it’s a Queen’s Birthday holiday weekend<\/span><\/span><\/div>\n
We could be without heating for a while…<\/span><\/span><\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
There is nothing for it but to hit Day 5 of my 30 day Abs Challenge<\/a> to warm up:<\/span><\/div>\n
30 Sit ups, 12 Crunches, 12 leg raises, 20 sec plank<\/span><\/div>\n
I’m still cold, I think about hitting Day 6 as well<\/span><\/div>\n
but then have a better idea<\/span><\/div>\n
Let’s hit the shops!<\/span><\/div>\n

In Australia when it gets unbearably hot, <\/span><\/div>\n
and our air conditioning units struggle<\/span><\/div>\n
we go to Chadstone Shopping Centre.<\/span><\/div>\n
Today I’m off there to warm up.<\/span><\/div>\n

<\/span><\/div>\n
I also have my Apple One on One lesson<\/span><\/div>\n
booked for later in the day.<\/span><\/div>\n

I love my Apple lessons, my years membership gets me <\/span><\/div>\n

In the last three months I have trained at<\/span><\/div>\n
Regents Street – London<\/span><\/div>\n
Fifth Avenue – New York<\/span><\/div>\n
Grand Central Station – New York<\/span><\/div>\n
International Finance Centre – Hong Kong<\/span><\/div>\n
Now I am back at my home store which is warm and cosy!<\/span><\/div>\n

It’s usually organic and healthy for us!<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n
There is just time before School pick up <\/span><\/div>\n
to rush into Aldi for my favourite Organic products <\/span><\/div>\n
but guess what they have a special promotion and I buy up big.<\/span><\/div>\n
It’s British week!<\/span><\/div>\n

I am going to be real popular when I get home with <\/span><\/div>\n
Hob Nobs, Hula hoops and most important of all Branston Pickle<\/span><\/div>\n
All on special price promotion.<\/span><\/div>\n
You have take the girl out of England <\/span><\/div>\n
but you can’t take the England out of the girl!<\/span><\/div>\n
Do you ever get excited about food from your homeland?!<\/span><\/div>\n

The excitement of a buy British week at Aldi! <\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n
There is just one more stop before I leave, <\/span><\/div>\n
I work with Asylum Seekers and I am in need of some runners<\/span><\/div>\n
for a new Women’s walking group.<\/span><\/div>\n
One of the stores has very kindly agreed to let me go through<\/span><\/div>\n
their recycle shoe bin.<\/span><\/div>\n
I have very specific sizes needed, but do well.<\/span><\/div>\n
In the end I struggle to get all my shopping back to the car.<\/span><\/div>\n
It’s exhausting and I’m hot.<\/span><\/div>\n
Could be the last time I’m warm in a while!!<\/span><\/div>\n
