Yoga on the Helipad!<\/span><\/h2>\n

<\/span><\/div>\n
We’ve just had an amazing weekend with dear friends in Thailand.<\/span><\/div>\n
We stayed at The Peninsula, Bangkok<\/span><\/div>\n
Which is a bit of a splurge, but they look after Little old Wren rather well <\/span><\/div>\n
and we end up in the most amazing Grand Deluxe Suite<\/span><\/div>\n
Thank you Peninsula, Bangkok.<\/span><\/div>\n

The Peninsula, Bangkok<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n
It really is an extraordinary place to stay<\/span><\/div>\n
and when I saw that they offered complimentary yoga on helipad<\/span><\/div>\n
Well I’m there with a big fat Namaste!<\/span><\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
<\/a><\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
We meet at the Fitness Centre, <\/span>whooping 36 floors below<\/span><\/div>\n
a mixed ability group <\/span>of those who look like they know what they are doing, <\/span><\/div>\n
to destination yogics!<\/span><\/div>\n
Destination on top of the world!<\/i><\/b><\/span><\/div>\n

<\/i><\/b><\/span><\/div>\n
  We sign a massive disclaimer.<\/span><\/div>\n
This probably says – does anyone actually read these forms –<\/span><\/div>\n
that if we pop our clogs on the helipad it’s not their fault.<\/span><\/div>\n
Oh, but what a way to go.<\/span><\/div>\n

<\/span><\/div>\n
Either that, or don’t expect a complimentary air ambulance <\/span><\/div>\n
to rush you to the nearest hospital!<\/span><\/div>\n
Ha ha.<\/span><\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
<\/a><\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
So we are escorted by a lady dressed in black who all but mumbles <\/span><\/div>\n
into her walkie-talkie or cell phone, I forget,  <\/span><\/div>\n
to a lift to the penthouse Paribatra room. <\/span><\/div>\n
We are already excited by what we are about to witness.<\/span><\/div>\n
This is how the other half live indeed!<\/span><\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
<\/a><\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
We are shown a small lift, you’d have to know, but then I’m guessing if you arrive or depart by helicopter you probably always <\/span><\/div>\n
have a nice lady with a walkie talkie to push your lift buttons!<\/span><\/div>\n

<\/span><\/div>\n
The lift rises up through the final floors of the hotel till our feet are level with the ground, very James Bond like. <\/span><\/div>\n
You can just see it in the background above with the stripey roof.<\/span><\/div>\n

<\/span><\/div>\n
We emerge blinking in the daylight onto the rooftop to the wow of 360 degree views of Bangkok’s skyline. It was pretty amazing. <\/span><\/div>\n
You can’t help but notice the large H on the floor<\/span><\/div>\n
 H for help? I presume.<\/span><\/div>\n

I needn’t have worried, the instructor was skillful with her mixed-ability group.<\/span><\/div>\n
Anyway you know what they say:<\/span><\/div>\n
Yoga, is not about touching your toes<\/i><\/span><\/div>\n
It’s about what you learn on the way down!<\/i><\/span><\/div>\n

<\/span><\/div>\n
That was some awesome yoga class and a memorable Bangkok experience<\/span><\/div>\n
