To Russia with love… <\/span><\/h4>\n
<\/a><\/div>\n

Today is my two year Blogoversary!<\/span><\/div>\n

Little Wandering Wren was born on September 4th 2012<\/span><\/div>\n
as a good way for family and friends <\/span>to keep in touch<\/span><\/div>\n
during an extended trip visiting <\/span>India and Europe.<\/span><\/p>\n

Little did I know <\/span>
that my blog and blogging would turn into <\/span>
one of my favourite things!<\/span>

<\/span>I’m a bit reticent to show you my original effort,<\/span>
but I do see some progress!<\/span><\/div>\n

Blogging has given me the opportunity to learn new skills<\/span><\/div>\n
both on the technical side of blogging<\/span><\/div>\n
but also to develop my ‘voice.’<\/span>

<\/span>It has also given me one of the nicest pleasures,<\/span>
the ability to connect with other bloggers all over the world.<\/span>
I love the comments that I receive and find the blogging community<\/span>
to be encouraging and very supportive.<\/span>

<\/span>I enjoy reading about others lives<\/span>
and learning about different parts of the world.<\/span>

<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n\n
<\/a><\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
I share my wanderings …<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n

I have found through participating in some regular memes<\/span>
that I have a subject (Blue Monday, Saturday Critters etc) , <\/span>
and\/or a timescale (Our World Tuesday, Wordless Wednesday) to adhere to.<\/span>

<\/span>I try to post a couple of times each week.<\/span>
Sometimes I write more regularly than others<\/span>
it just depends on what I feel like!<\/span>

<\/span>I was surprised at how easy it was to write,<\/span>
in terms of finding subject matter for my posts<\/span>
which is based around my everyday life.<\/span>
The hardest part can be finding the time…<\/span>

<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n\n
<\/a><\/td>\n<\/tr>\n

I was initially excited by the thought that what I wrote <\/span>
could be read anywhere in the world,<\/span>
that was a bit scary too.<\/span>
But actually I flew under the radar for many months,<\/span>
my blog was not widely read<\/span>
and I quietly gained in confidence.<\/span>

<\/span>And somewhere along the line <\/span>
Russia <\/span>got involved.<\/span>
Quite why I have so many people reading LWW in Russia <\/span>
is a pleasure and a mystery.<\/span><\/p>\n

 I love sending my posts off into cyberspace!<\/span>

<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n\n

My life in Australia and our love of travel<\/span>
might have taken me in the direction of being solely a travel blog<\/span>
but life throws other things my way on my wanderings<\/span>
and I like not being tied to a certain type of blog. <\/span>

<\/span>I like the element of surprise for my readers and <\/span>
whilst I am told I need to find a niche<\/span>
I want my niche to be “anything I fancy talking about!”<\/span>

Originally my blog was written on my Ipad and I used <\/span>
Iphone photos, <\/span>both were new to me<\/span><\/div>\n

and I look back on those early posts with a <\/span><\/div>\n
“Oh deary me…’<\/span>

<\/span>A year ago I added my Macbook Pro into the mix<\/span>
yet more technology to learn… <\/span>

<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n\n
<\/a><\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
I enjoy learning the skills of blogging…<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n

I attend One on One lessons with Apple<\/span>
which help a lot.<\/span>
I can also train with Apple where ever I am in the world<\/span>
So far this year I have had lessons in London, New York, Hong Kong <\/span>
as well as in my home store Melbourne!<\/span><\/div>\n

<\/div>\n

<\/div>\n

The technical aspect of managing the blog through Blogger<\/span>
and then learning Google +<\/span>
was another area that has involved a steep learning curve.<\/span>

<\/span>I don’t like the choice of having comments as either Google+ or not<\/span>
But once I had accepted Google+ there was no going back<\/span>
without removing all my Google+ comments.<\/span>

<\/span>So I just had to take a chill pill and relax…<\/b><\/i><\/span>
And I have some lovely non Google+ followers <\/span>
who I chat with by e-mail which is great.<\/span>

<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n\n
<\/a><\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
Zen, yogic Wren is a work in progress!<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n

There is still so much to learn <\/span>
and so much that I want to talk about,<\/span>
that I hope to be blogging for many years to come.<\/span>
