For the past six years I’ve been in <\/span>
oval therapy.<\/span>

<\/span>This involves<\/span>
wandering around in circles, <\/span>
always in a clockwise direction,<\/span>
around a cricket or footy oval,<\/span>
with a pack of dogs,<\/span> and a good friend or two<\/span>
 putting the world to rights<\/i>.<\/span><\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
\n
<\/a><\/div>\n

<\/span><\/p>\n
There was nothing that we couldn’t sort out during our <\/span><\/div>\n
oval therapy sessions.<\/span><\/div>\n

<\/span><\/div>\n
When I think back over the years<\/span><\/div>\n
we’ve covered some pretty big issues<\/span>
including this years classics…<\/span><\/div>\n

So… <\/span>
‘Have you decided whether you’re moving to <\/b><\/i><\/span>
Shanghai, Beijing or Kuala Lumpur?<\/b><\/i>‘<\/span>
That was January this year.<\/span>
We stayed.<\/span>

<\/span>or in August<\/span>

<\/span>‘How’s your daughter going in Liberia?’<\/i><\/b><\/span>
She left.<\/i><\/span><\/p>\n

<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

\n
<\/a><\/div>\n


<\/span><\/p>\n

Some of the more trickier discussions took <\/span>
up more than one morning in the park.<\/span>
Ebola for instance has been a hot topic <\/span>
over many weeks now…<\/span><\/p>\n

The Crazy Poodle and I <\/span>
first visited Rathmines Reserve, Hawthorn East<\/span>
 as<\/span> a puppy <\/span>
when I needed <\/span>a safe haven <\/span>
for his first off lead adventures.<\/span>

<\/span>The park is an easy stop off <\/span>
on my way home <\/span>after the school run.<\/span>

<\/span>
<\/span><\/div>\n

<\/a><\/div>\n

<\/div>\n

It quickly became part of our morning routine.<\/span>
He has now graduated from skittish puppy<\/span>
to mature older statesman of the park.<\/span>
We both love it.<\/span>

<\/span><\/p>\n
He gets to meet all his park friends and<\/span>
best mates <\/span><\/div>\n

Molly, Harvey and Maisie…<\/span>

<\/span> Molly is <\/span>a black Spoodle <\/span>
who makes a good running partner. <\/span>
As the dogs played well together, <\/span>
the owners got chatting<\/span>
and so started oval therapy.<\/span>

<\/span><\/a><\/p>\n

Harvey was always popular <\/span>
as his owner always had good treats.<\/span>
This went to a whole new level<\/span>
When Harvey brought along a new little sister, Maisie<\/span>
accompanied by home made carrot puppy training biscuits.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n

<\/a><\/div>\n


<\/span><\/p>\n

As the Crazy Poodle moves into doggy middle age,<\/span> <\/span>
with a proud I know how this works<\/span>
bum down, nose up ‘please can I have a treat’ <\/i>look<\/span>
my son slips silently into his last weeks at school.<\/span>
 Last <\/span>week I did my final school drop off.<\/span>
Ever, ever, ever…<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n
<\/a><\/div>\n

<\/div>\n

This is a massive change for all our routines and life.<\/span>
We will no longer be passing Rathmines Reserve every day.<\/span>
 We’re both going to miss our walks in the park<\/span>
and the oval therapy sessions!<\/span>

<\/span>Anyone know any good recipes for carrot dog biscuits?<\/span>
We’d better get baking before we attempt <\/span>
to make new friends<\/span>
in a new park! <\/span><\/div>\n
