French Open, Paris 2015<\/span><\/b><\/h3>\n

It might seem strange to say, being from Melbourne, Australia, <\/span><\/div>\n
but I just reckon Roland-Garros could be my favourite Grand Slam. <\/span><\/div>\n<\/div>\n

<\/span><\/div>\n\n\n\n\n
<\/a><\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
Look at me, I’m a long way from home!<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n
\n
Of course it won\u2019t be possible to say with any complete certainty, <\/span><\/div>\n
until I have had the pleasure of attending all four\u2026 <\/span><\/div>\n

<\/span><\/div>\n
That was the challenge that Irina Falconi, <\/span><\/div>\n
professional tennis player <\/span>and family friend, <\/span><\/div>\n
threw out to me this week, and I rather like it! <\/span><\/div>\n<\/div>\n

<\/span><\/div>\n
<\/a><\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
\n
If Mr Wren is reading this blog, he may think otherwise, <\/span><\/div>\n
given I have been doing a lot of \u2018galavanting\u2019 recently, <\/span><\/div>\n
but it\u2019s a great thought for the bucket list!<\/span>

<\/span><\/div>\n\n\n\n\n
<\/a><\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
TV cameras on Suzanne Lenglen court<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n
I never thought I\u2019d be able to attend Roland-Garros, <\/span><\/div>\n
let alone sit in some of the best seats in the house.<\/span>
Look at me, <\/span>with the same view as you are getting on your TV screens. <\/span>
Woo hoo!<\/span><\/div>\n

<\/span>Or how about the time I sat courtside amongst the Ball Boys?<\/span>
Talk about being in amongst all the action!<\/span>

<\/span>Of course we had some very special matches to watch…<\/span>

<\/span><\/p>\n
<\/a><\/div>\n<\/div>\n

<\/span>Especially those cheering Mademoiselle Falconi into the Third Round.<\/span>

<\/span> I have been literally pinching myself all week <\/span><\/div>\n
as I wandered round as Irina\u2019s guest at Roland-Garros. <\/span><\/div>\n<\/div>\n

I\u2019m not the typical person behind the scenes, <\/span><\/div>\n
certainly I\u2019m no athlete, or nor the average Tennis “Mum”, <\/span><\/div>\n
I decided my handbag had to go after Day One\u2026 <\/span>

<\/span>I’ve had the joy and pleasure of seeing all the big names…<\/span>

<\/span><\/div>\n<\/div>\n
\n\n\n\n\n
<\/a><\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
Crazy Soccer Mum in tennis mode supporting Tsonga!<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n
I literally stumbled upon Federer in the flower beds, <\/span><\/div>\n
as seen here at the bottom of the massive match results board.<\/span><\/div>\n

<\/span><\/div>\n
Nadal’s name appeared out of nowhere on the wall in front of me<\/span><\/div>\n
behind some unravelling arty tennis racquet<\/span><\/div>\n
at the Roland-Garros museum. <\/span><\/div>\n
I did wondered whether this was a sign of things to come?<\/span><\/div>\n
And maybe it was.<\/span><\/div>\n
Spooky.<\/span><\/div>\n

<\/a><\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
I’ve seen all the top names!<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n
Ha Ha I’m only joking <\/span><\/div>\n
I did get to see both Federer and Nadal play some great matches <\/span><\/div>\n
and had several ‘don’t look now, here comes Federer’ moments.<\/span><\/div>\n
Pinch, pinch<\/i>, pinch<\/i>!<\/span>

Nadal serves on Phillipe Chatrier court<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n<\/div>\n
You’ll be glad to know that Melbourne Mum was on her best behaviour<\/span><\/div>\n
and not leaping out of nowhere asking for a selfie<\/span><\/div>\n
…unlike some!<\/span>
