Goosie, Goosie Gander where shall I wander….<\/i><\/h3>\n

Here I am in seat 27G <\/p><\/div>\n

which is waaaaaaay too far back in the airplane for me, <\/div>\n
but guess what, I’m very happy here!<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n\n\n\n\n
<\/a><\/td>\n<\/tr>\n

I’m on my way to Abu Dhabi, then London.<\/div>\n
And whoo hoo, I’m on Wifi thanks to Ethiad Airlines.<\/div>\n
It’s my first blog written<\/div>\n
 cruising at an altitude of 34,000 feet <\/div>\n
and travelling at a ground speed of 927 km per hour, <\/div>\n
and I think that’s pretty cool.<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
In fact it’s very, very cool<\/div>\n
the outside temperature is -39.0 celsius – ho ho ho…<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n\n\n\n\n
<\/a><\/td>\n<\/tr>\n

So I am returning the UK<\/div>\n
for a quick visit and sadly a family funeral.<\/div>\n
If it wasn’t under such circumstances <\/div>\n
I’d be happy to have achieved what every woman really wants <\/div>\n
at this time of year: two weeks away and just ‘<\/span>beam me up Scotty.<\/i>‘<\/span><\/div>\n
I’m back on December 22nd when everything’s done.<\/div>\n
Prepared and ready.<\/div>\n

Christmas – it’s exhausting just thinking about it!<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n
Our Aussie Christmas is really casual.<\/div>\n
We don’t really do presents.<\/div>\n
I always work on the basis ‘I’d rather do, than have’<\/div>\n
So we’re all getting or giving a charity donation to help those<\/div>\n
suffering at the hands of the sex slave industry on the Thai – Burmese border \ud83d\ude42<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n\n\n\n\n
<\/a><\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
Australian natives in Spring<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n
I knew you’d be impressed!<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
Look it might seem a tad random to you, and my 19 year old son<\/div>\n
who will no doubt open up his card with a ‘whaaat the ….’? <\/div>\n
But we met some remarkable Sisters doing some great work at a charity fundraising dinner the other night at a posh golf course in Melbourne.<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
Well the Nun’s were visiting, just there to tell their story really, <\/div>\n
they were not really into the golf, <\/div>\n
and it was either donate direct, or bid on the silent auction <\/div>\n
for various items that we didn’t need like a Porsche pedal car…<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n\n\n\n\n
<\/a><\/td>\n<\/tr>\n

So we’ve made a contribution on behalf of everyone.<\/div>\n
Well not everyone, everyone.<\/div>\n
Everyone in our family.<\/div>\n

Yes I know it’s different from our usual gift aid of <\/div>\n
a well in Cambodia, or a toilet in India AND<\/div>\n
just so I don’t get any complaints about my <\/div>\n
over the top ‘Save the World’ approach to presents, <\/span><\/div>\n
we’re also helping out the Myanmar tourist industry BIG time<\/div>\n
with a holiday to explore the sights in February as the another present for each other.  Get the link? Good huh!<\/span><\/div>\n

We don’t do decorations, we’re at the beach.<\/div>\n
Who can be faffed taking a whole load of Santas and Chrissy decorations <\/div>\n
to the beach for a week?<\/div>\n
A few seashells on the table and we’re good to go.<\/div>\n

 We don’t make a lot of fuss over food either<\/div>\n
Or so I thought…<\/div>\n
You see you either go traditional <\/div>\n
which is the full turkey, Christmas pud and the works, <\/div>\n
or you go Aussie. <\/div>\n
Which is generally fish and toss a few prawns on the barbie<\/div>\n
add in a pavlova meringue with cream with fruit on top for pudding<\/div>\n
and happy days.<\/div>\n

<\/a><\/td>\n<\/tr>\n

Mr Wren says ‘don’t worry about the food’ <\/i>leave it to him. <\/div>\n
Which was great. <\/div>\n
Until he started talking about wanting a goose!<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
‘A goose, we can’t have a goose, no one has a goose!<\/i><\/div>\n
What sort of a Christmas do you call that?’<\/i><\/div>\n
Out comes my inner control freak.<\/div>\n
Gone are the thoughts<\/div>\n
 ‘Isn’t it wonderful, the family are organising Christmas?\u2019<\/i><\/div>\n
